Description

The Beautimate IPL Hair Removal Device uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to reduce unwanted facial and body hair with consistent at-home use. Light energy targets pigment in the hair, helping reduce hair regrowth over repeated sessions.

A built-in sapphire ice cooling plate cools the skin at the treatment window to help make each session more comfortable. Choose from five energy levels and use Manual Flash for smaller, targeted areas or Auto Flash for faster coverage across larger areas such as the legs.

The device is FDA-cleared for over-the-counter use for removal of unwanted body and/or facial hair and provides up to 999,999 flashes.

IPL depends on the contrast between pigment in the hair and skin. This device is intended for Fitzpatrick skin tones I–IV with dark brown or black hair. It should not be used on Fitzpatrick V–VI skin tones and is not effective on blonde, red, gray or white hair.

Use it on areas including the legs, underarms, bikini area, upper lip, chin and cheeks, following the included instructions and safety precautions.

How to use

Before your first session

Check your skin tone and hair color against the compatibility chart in the included manual. Read the full instructions and safety precautions before use.

Each session

Shave the treatment area first. Do not wax or pluck the hair.
Clean and completely dry the skin. Do not apply lotion, oil or deodorant before treatment.
Put on the included protective eyewear.
Select an appropriate energy level according to the instructions.
Place the treatment window flat against the skin.
Use Manual Flash for smaller or targeted areas, or Auto Flash for larger areas such as the legs.
Move systematically across the treatment area without repeatedly flashing the same spot during one session.

Treatment schedule

For the first four weeks, use the device once per week.

After the initial four sessions, use approximately once per month or as needed when hair regrowth becomes visible.

After use

Keep the sapphire cooling plate clean and follow the cleaning instructions in the manual.

Always use the included protective eyewear. Never flash the device toward the eyes or use it on the eyelids or directly around the eye area.

How does IPL hair removal work?

Where can I use it?

Do I need to shave before using IPL?
Yes. Shave the treatment area before your session. Do not wax or pluck beforehand because IPL needs the hair below the skin's surface to remain present.

What's the difference between Manual and Auto Flash?
Manual Flash lets you trigger each flash individually and is useful for smaller areas. Auto Flash continues as you move the device across the skin, making it more convenient for larger areas such as the legs.

Do I need protective eyewear?
Yes. Protective eyewear is included and should be worn during treatment. Never flash the device toward the eyes.
