FAQ

How often should I use the Derma Stamp?

+

When it comes to derma stamping, the frequency of your sessions depends significantly on the needle length you use.

Here's a handy guide to help you determine how often you can safely derma roll/stamp based on the needle size:

  • 0.25 mm: Safe to use every other day. This size is gentle and primarily helps with product absorption rather than deeper skin concerns.
  • 0.5 mm: Can be used 1–3 times a week, starting with less frequent use and increasing as your skin adjusts. This size is good for addressing superficial blemishes, fine lines, and enhancing glow.
  • 1.0 mm: Suitable for use every 10–14 days. This length can target deeper wrinkles, scars, and other more significant skin issues.
  • 1.5 mm: Recommended once every 3–4 weeks. Ideal for more severe skin conditions like deep scars and stretch marks. Be cautious, as this length penetrates deeper into the skin.
  • 2.0 mm: Use every 6 weeks. This length is generally advised against for home use due to the risk of damage and infection; it’s typically reserved for professional settings.

Additional Tips:

  • Perform derma rolling/ stamping in the evening to allow your skin to recover overnight.
  • Always ensure that your skin has fully recovered from a previous session before starting another. Signs of recovery include the cessation of any redness or sensitivity.
  • Maintain a clean derma stamp by sterilizing it before and after each use to prevent infections.

Following these guidelines will help you achieve the best results with derma rolling/ stamping while keeping your skin safe.

The information provided about the frequency of using different needle lengths for derma stamping is based on general guidelines commonly recommended by dermatologists and skin care professionals. These recommendations are derived from understanding how the skin heals and responds to microneedling, which involves creating tiny punctures in the skin to stimulate collagen production and enhance product absorption.

For the most accurate and personalized advice, it's always best to consult directly with a dermatologist or a certified skincare professional, especially when considering deeper needle lengths. They can provide guidance based on your specific skin type, concerns, and overall health.

What is the right needle length for your Derma Stamp?

+

Choosing the right needle length for your derma stamp is crucial for achieving effective results and is largely dependent on the specific skin concerns you are addressing.

Here’s a simplified table that outlines the recommended needle lengths for various skin issues:

  • Shorter Needles (0.25–0.5 mm): These are great for general rejuvenation and are typically used for issues like enlarged pores, mild hyperpigmentation, and overall skin tone enhancement. They can be used more frequently and are generally safe for home use.
  • Medium Needles (0.5–1.5 mm): Ideal for treating wrinkles, moderate acne scars, uneven skin texture, and sun damage. These lengths penetrate deeper into the skin, promoting more significant collagen production. Use these with caution and less frequently to allow the skin proper time to heal.
  • Longer Needles (1.5–2.0 mm): Best reserved for severe skin issues such as deep stretch marks and scars. Due to their depth of penetration, they should be used sparingly and with proper technique to avoid adverse effects. The longest lengths (near 2.0 mm) should generally be avoided for home use and better handled by professionals.

Safety and Hygiene:

  • Always ensure your derma stamp is sterilized before and after each use.
  • Start with a shorter needle length to see how your skin reacts before progressing to longer needles.
  • Consider a professional consultation if you’re new to microneedling or have serious skin concerns.

By selecting the appropriate needle length, you can tailor your treatment to effectively address specific skin issues, improve your skin's overall appearance, and ensure a safer microneedling experience.

How should I clean the Derma Stamp?

+

Disinfect your microneedle derma stamp by letting it soak in 70% isopropyl alcohol for approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

When will you see results?

+

The timeline for seeing results after using the micro needling derma stamp can vary based on several factors, including the specific skin issues being treated, the frequency of treatments, the length of the needles used, and your individual skin's healing response. Here's a general guide on what you might expect:

  1. Immediate Effects: Right after treatment, you might notice that your skin appears plumper and more radiant. This is due to the increased blood flow to the area from the microneedling process.
  2. Short-term Results: Within the first few weeks, as your skin begins to heal, you may start to see improvements in skin texture and tone. The treatment encourages collagen and elastin production, which takes time to develop. Initial results, like smoother and firmer skin, can often be observed within 2 to 4 weeks after starting regular treatments.
  3. Long-term Results: For more significant issues such as deep acne scars, wrinkles, or stretch marks, it generally takes multiple sessions to see substantial improvements. Users typically report noticeable changes after 2 to 3 months of consistent use, with treatments spaced according to the needle length and skin's tolerance (e.g., 1.5 mm needles used every 3-4 weeks).
  4. Sustained Improvements: Continued use of the derma stamp can lead to more pronounced and lasting results. Research indicates that major improvements in skin conditions like acne scarring or wrinkles are seen after 2 to 3 sessions, with these results stabilizing and remaining effective even six months post-treatment.

It's important to maintain realistic expectations and understand that while derma stamping can significantly improve skin appearance, optimal results require consistency and time. The skin needs to heal and regenerate, which is not an overnight process. Also, always ensure that you're following a proper post-treatment skincare routine, including using sunscreen daily to protect the newly sensitive skin from UV damage. If in doubt about your treatment plan or how to care for your skin post-procedure, consult with a dermatology professional.

Easy and effective

I was nervous to use this tool but made the purchase based off of the recommendation of my injector who is a nurse practitioner. It doesn’t hurt and does exactly what I wanted it to do. I use this once a week or once every 2 weeks with hyaluronic acid serum and it has vastly improved the texture of my skin. Highly recommend!

Derma Stamping Made Easy!

"I am very impressed with this derma stamper! This was exactly what I was looking for and it works perfectly! I have used the rollers before but I found those to be a little hard and they move a little too quick across my skin especially when I had serum on. With this stamper, I know exactly where I am stamping. All of the serums I applied to my skin have penetrated and I know I am getting the most optimum amount of product when I use a stamper. I also love that this is adjustable. Be sure to read the instructions and take it easy, there is no need to use the highest setting if you don't need it. I have definitely seen a lot of positive changes in my skin already!"
